Project Summary

e-TradeSoft -A Web Based Accounting Application Feb 2000 Till Date
Development Tools: ASP, VBScript, IIS 4.0, Crystal Reports 8.0.Oracle
8.0.

e-Tradesoft is being developed for deployment on the Web .The
Application could be accessed by authorized users on a Company Intranet
or through the Internet. It is being developed to take advantage of the
ease and accessibility of the Web, alongwith reducing the costs of
administering and maintaining applications. The Application would
provide for Inventory Management, Procurement, Invoicing, Accounts,
Human Resources, Project Costing and Fixed Asset Management.
Involved in the Design of the 3 Tier Architecture of the System.
Employed the Designer Tools namely the Process Modeller, ER Diagrammer,
Data Flow Diagrammer and Function Hierarchy Diagrammer for capturing the
System Design in the Oracle Designer Repository.

Gift Island has a Chain of Outlets selling Consumer Goods throughout the
UAE. They needed a central Accounting System to manage Procurements and
have Sales made at all Outlets available to the Head Office.

Involved in the Design of an Accounting System to Support Multi Business
Unit Operations such as Procurement, Human Resources, Sales and
Inventory management. The System is built on 3 Tier Architecture with
the Business Rules being implemented as ActiveX DLL's. User Interface
was built on Standard templates. Back Office Application at the Outlets
interfaced with the POS Terminals to capture the Daily Sales, which are
relayed to the Central Accounting System at the Head Office. A Custom
Data Migration Tool was built to migrate the Daily Sales of various
Outlets to Central Information System. Wrote Functional Test Plans to
determine the robustness of the System to meet User Requirements.
Monitored the System Installation and initial Trial Runs and Full Scale
Operations.

Tremix is a ISO 9001 Certified Company involved in the Supply of
Building materials to Construction sites in the UAE. They needed a
System to Track Deliveries to Sites against Customer Orders and
Invoicing to be made from Head Office. The System needed to mesh with
their Human Resources and Procurement System.
Involved in the Detailed Analysis and Design of a System to automate the
Operations in the Production, Distribution Departments at Multiple
Locations. The System was based on Client Server Architecture with
Business and Application Logic being distributed as Stored Procedures,
Triggers on the Oracle Server and User Interface validations being
implemented in the VB Application with the Usage of Custom Active X
Controls. Wrote Interfaces to Link the System to Human Resources and
Procurement System. Built Test Plans to test Functionality and
Suitability of the System for Full Scale Operations. Imparted training
to Users for the Day to Day Operations and Periodic Operations such as
Backup and Recovery.

Technical Glass, is a Leading Glass and Aluminum Fabricator in the UAE
involved in the execution of Projects. Their need was for a Project
Costing and Procurement Solution.
The System was designed to allow for a Project to be split into Multiple
phases with each phase being associated with a Cost Center. Built
reports that tracked User entered Estimates for various Cost Centers
such as Project Estimates vs Actuals, Cost Center wise Expenses. Built
the Billing Module that allowed for generating Progress Invoice
depending on the Percentage complete of the Project and Final Invoices
upon Project Completion.

Management Information System Apr 1998- Dec 1998

Client: Precision Tool Products Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, India
Software: Oracle 8.0 on Windows NT, Developer 2000(Forms 5.0,Reports

Precision Tool Products is a PCB Module Assembly Unit. They needed a
System to schedule Production and mangement of Inventory.Was Involved in
the conceptual and detailed analysis of their workflow.
The System allowed for defining the Bill of materials and processing of
Material Requests from Shop floor according to preset Production Plans
entered in the System.Production Managers could enter weekly schedule,
the stock position and short supply was alerted in advance for
maintaining delivery schedule. The Software handles both Incoming and
Outgoing Materials from the Warehouse.

Material Management and Dispatch Control Package Oct 1997- Mar 1998

Client: Classic Cookware Pvt. Ltd., Peenya Industrial Area, Bangalore.
Software: Developer 2000, Oracle 8.0 on Windows NT.

The Aforesaid package covers Materials Management and Dispatch Control
Activities in such a way that both the Unit Chief and Stores Assistant
can use with ease and enter the data. The application had two Major
Modules- Stock Control and Procurement System. The Package also delivers
the required MIS Reports at any point of time. Procurement Module
generated both Local and Overseas Purchase orders. Stock Control Module
supports the Operations related to Inventory Control such as Stock
Maintenance, Handle Production Requirements, Rejection Control and
providing a set of MIS Reports. The System handles the Conversion of
Marketing Demand to Actual Dispatch.Developed reports such as Inventory
Unit Analysis, Material Consumption Analysis, Finished Goods Status, and
Production Forecast versus Actuals.
