Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics & Telecommunication) – Securing First Class with Distinction from Gujarat University, India in 1976.
I have achieved First Class with Distinction throughout my school and college studies. I have studied up to S.S.C. at Sir Ajit Singhji High School Dhrangadhra, Pre University Science at M.G.Science Institute and 5 years Engineering Degree course at L.D.Engineering College, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad.
BE in Electronics is a Five Years integrated course after Pre Science (12th class). It includes study of Electronics, Computer Architecture, Computer Techniques, Programming Languages, Computer Algorithms, Communication Systems, Pulse & Digital Circuits, Antenna, Television & Microwave Systems.
I have also completed course in Export Management at SIES Institute, Mumbai.

D. Professional Experience
Senior Analyst/Programmer – Jan. 1985 – At Present – Qatar Fertilizer Company, Qatar. I am working here in Computer Information and Technology Section in Finance Department as Senior Analyst/Programmer in Senior Staff Status since last 14 years.
Here my work involves System Analysis & Programming in RPG/400 on IBM AS/400 Computer Model 620e. I am responsible for Software Installation, Maintenance & Development of Finance, Marketing, Personnel/Payroll & Maintenance Management System. I am also responsible for Compaq Servers and Windows NT 4.0 Installation and Lotus Notes Installation and maintenance. I am also organizing Backup Routine for Servers on ARCserve for Window NT and for AS/400 Computer on Tape Cartridge Backup for OS/400.
Role Played in JD Edwards Implementation:
As Project Leader from Computer Information & Technology Section.
I was fully involved with Account Section from Feb 98 in the following tasks.
Setting Up Qafco Financial Applications Software Requirements, Detail Study of Financial Software available (Mapics-new, Oracle, Sun Accounts & J. D. Edwards), Deciding Software for Qafco (J. D. Edwards Financials), Installing J.D. Edwards Financial Software together with JDE Professional, Attending Training for all above modules including Security & Common &
Technical Foundation, Implementation of JDE for Qafco including Setting Up and Converting Financial Data from Mapics-Old and Costing Data from Self Developed Qafco's Costing system, going to Live on JDE from Jan 99 onwards, Creating Interface Software to/from JDE from/to Idhammar Maintenance Management System's Purchase & Stores & Work Order Modules & also from/to Personnel/Payroll System.
In finance, now it includes J.D. Edwards Accounts Payable, General Ledger and self developed Cost Ledger, Debit/Credit Ledger, Budget Ledger & Interface with other Non-Finance Systems. We are using J.D. Edwards Financial Systems from 1998.
In finance, before we had MAPICS Accounts Payable, General Ledger and self developed Cost Ledger, Debit/Credit Ledger, Budget Ledger & Interface with other Non-Finance Systems. From 1982 to 1998 we were using MAPICS.
In marketing, it includes Offer Information, Ammonia/Urea Sales, Shipping & Invoice processing and Interface with General Ledger System.
In Personnel/Payroll, it includes Time/Attendance, Personnel, Payroll Systems i.e. from clocking in/out of employee to salary/overtime calculation and payment in their account in bank.
In maintenance management, it includes Idhammar’s Purchase & Stock Control, Work Order, Plant & Units, Drawing & Document Systems, and self developed Safety System, Plant Modification Proposal, On Call Duty System & Interface to General Ledger.
Programmer – Sept. 1981 – Dec. 1984 – Qatar Fertilizer Company, Qatar. I was working here in Computer Information and Technology Section in Finance Department as Programmer for 3 years. I was programming here in RPG II on IBM System/34 & then on IBM System/36 Computer.
I was in charge of project for Upgrade of Computer from S/34 to S/36 in 1986 and S/36 to AS/400 Model B50 in 1991 and AS/400 Model B50 to AS/400 Model F50 in 1993. Now we are preparing for upgrade to Advance Series AS/400e Model 620. I was also in charge of migration of Mapics Software from Mapics on S/34 to Mapics II on S/36 and Mapics/DB on AS/400. I was programming & maintaining all systems that I maintained above.
Instrument Technician – Feb. 1978 – Aug. 1981 – Qatar Fertilizer Company, Qatar. I was working here in Electronics Workshop in Instrument Section in Maintenance Department as Instrument Technician for 3 years. I was responsible for maintaining & installing Electronics Instruments in Ammonia & Urea Plants, Power Station.
Sales & Service Engineer – Oct. 1976 – Dec. 1977 – World Traders & Company, Mumbai, India. I was working here as Sales & Service Engineer for Hungarian Textile Electronics & German Electronics Measuring Equipment.
