1. Nissan Parts Operation Pacakage System (N-POPS II)
- Conversion of S/36 data file from EBCDIC to ASCII : [ Doha, Qatar ]
The N-POPS II comprises of the following schedules namely -- daily operation, monthly operation, term-end operation, on - line application menu, on -line application process flow, batch job id table , process flow of batch job id -- ordering system , receiving system, back order release, automatic transfer, order taking / processing system, on line support for daily batch, stock-taking system , price revision system , generation of monthly report management, term-end & irregular management report and operation of recovery at machine down time.
Conversion includes writing new RPG II programs for data conversion from EBCDIC characters to PC ASCII . Using the PC Support S/36 necessary data files are downloaded to PC from S/36 machine . S/36 databases are later on to be used in Oracle databses for shifting to new platform by the company.

2. S/36 Y2k Conversion Project (Dubai, UAE)
[ Includes S/36 to AS/400 conversion ] - Sales and Open Orders System :
The Company uses this system mainly for its sales and open orders . It has a menu called SLSOPR consisting of the following items - Open Orders Mid Month Run and Mid Month reporting,Sales/Open Oders End month run and End month Report . In the Mid Month Run the company use to receive open order files (network file). The open order run should always take place before the Sales run . They are usually run in the first week of the month .Reports such as Estimated Shippments by Country, Open orders etc are generated .In the End month
run sales network file is received and the necessary program is updated to tell which network file has been received.Necessary backup is taken thereof . It creates the following reports namely ---- Calendarised sales and key units by country/group,year to date sales open/orders
vs budget. This was a Y2k conversion project on the said application of the company on
an IBM Midrange environment running under OS/400.Responsibilities include design,coding, testing and implementation of programs in RPG/400 using SDA , RLU environments using the SEU text editor and setting up CL/400.
Conversion includes modification of field reference file , databases, program modification , date-logic calculation,and changing of date fields in the DSPF, PRTF, data-areas. The position involves extensive interaction with users to determine their requirements as well as troubleshooting and providing production support to ensure timely generation of reports and product delivery .The S/36 code was converted into AS/400 native mode .This includes externalization of databases and modification f programs from OCL to CLP and RPG/36 to RPG/400 parallel with y2k modification.

surveying all the appearances of CHAR ( 6 ) and (4) fields,All
the argument values that were feeded into the different batch
programs , etc. we use appropriate algorithms to tackle the
century problem in our application software.

3. Loan Accounting System (India).
This is a software to be used by the company for keeping track of the various loans as and when required by the employees. It has a driver program which presents a menu and depending on the option selected transfers control to the appropriate module . It creates or updates the loan record as well as display the screen format of loan record of an employee.It also create an input trans - action for swift. This transaction will have the loan recovery amount. It updates outstanding balances depending on the input from swift.The software has variety of reports to be generated namely, printing register of special loans,outstanding statement sheet, special reports for loan type such as additional house loan,normal house loan , reports regarding confirmation letter issued by the employees to the company confirming their loan balance, reports generating for income tax certificate, recovery statement sheet both monthly and yearly.

5. Y2k Conversion Project (Singapore).
This was a conversion project for ICI Singapore Pte Ltd. Y2k Conversion is done only on one of the user -defined option in the BPCS main menu, which ICI called it as an ICI Application. The said software has been developed on the BPCS 5.0 Platform . Conversion includes modification of field reference file,non BPCS databases,program modification date-logic calculation , changing of date fields in the DSPF, PRTF data-areas as per users requirement. ICI Application includes modules like purchasing , inventory , sales analysis , order processing , utilities. New programs has also been coded and attached to the application.In total the project had about 300 programs, display & printer files,data-areas to be converted and making it a fully year 2000 compliant.

6. Enhancement of BPCS System (Holland).
BPCS ( Business Planning & Control System ) is a software initially developed by System Software Associates , Inc. in Chicago, Illinois, USA meant to be a complete solution for financial accounting , manufacturing and distribution .Other salient features like security and user defined applications were also incorporated in the system.Direct Ordering is a new module designed and developed by us . It includes Table Maintenance,Counter file (Generation of serial numbers for different key fields like Purchase Order#, Invoice# etc.),Tender floating ( both domestic and global), Receiving sealed Quotations from Vendors, Executing Quality testing of the material . Preparing Comparative Statement Sheet and cutting final Purchase Orders. Information's are obtained from Vendor Master, Item Master etc. The Security Master in our system ensures the access and modifying capabilities of the different users across all our departments.Apart from this printing of budget status, information on orders , quality information, Expedit and Picking Administration (Preparing Invoices etc.) deserves special mention.

7. Y2k Impact Analysis (Holland)
This is a package to generate reports regarding fields which are date oriented as found in an application resources.The name of the package is DATCON i.e. date conversion . The package is run on the Application programs to track down, isolate and analyze the potential Y2K non-compliant portions of the software . Apart from these it also reports all the related files in respect to the year 2000 problems that guides our business application software. The package basically generates vivid reports regarding date oriented fields as found in the programs, display files, printer files, data areas etc . Though the skeletal structure of the system used to be the same but we tailored it in accordance with the business needs of different clients.

9. S/36 to AS/400 Conversion for Olympic BV (India).
This was a conversion for one of the clients of Olympic B.V. in Holland. The S/36 code was to be converted in AS/400 native code. This includes externalization of database and therefore involved a lot of re-engineering activities .The system had three modules namely "Certificaten", "Restitutie", and "Interventie". In total the project had about 800 programs to be converted in native AS/400.
