Mix Flour & Cabbage Uttappam  

Ingredients  

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 1 cup corn flour
  • 1 cup cabbage finely chopped
  • 2 cups curds well beaten with water added to make buttermilk
  • 1 medium onion finely cut into long strips
  • 6 to 7 green chillis finely chopped
  • 2 pcs. of garlic crushed
  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric
  • Oil
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • Salt to taste
Method 
  • Mix all flours together 
  • Add cabbage 
  • Add curds (buttermilk) to make the medium consistant batter. 
  • Add more buttermilk if needed according to the consistency of batter.
  • Mix well and keep it aside for about 7 to 8 hours in a warm place 
  • In the batter add onion, green chillis, garlic, turmeric, sugar and salt 
  • Mix it well 
  • Heat a non-stick pan and grease it with little oil 
  • When the temperature is right, pour a large spoonful of the prepared batter. 
  • bSpread it to a little thick round shape 
  • Put oil on all sides of the Uttappam 
  • Flip once and let the other side cook well 
Serve hot with green chutney , tomato ketchup or pickels.
