Mix Flour & Cabbage Uttappam
Ingredients
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1 cup rice flour
- 1 cup gram flour
- 1 cup corn flour
- 1 cup cabbage finely chopped
- 2 cups curds well beaten with water added to make buttermilk
- 1 medium onion finely cut into long strips
- 6 to 7 green chillis finely chopped
- 2 pcs. of garlic crushed
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- Oil
- 1 tsp. sugar
- Salt to taste
Method
- Mix all flours together
- Add cabbage
- Add curds (buttermilk) to make the medium consistant batter.
- Add more buttermilk if needed according to the consistency of batter.
- Mix well and keep it aside for about 7 to 8 hours in a warm place
- In the batter add onion, green chillis, garlic, turmeric, sugar and
salt
- Mix it well
- Heat a non-stick pan and grease it with little oil
- When the temperature is right, pour a large spoonful of the prepared
batter.
- bSpread it to a little thick round shape
- Put oil on all sides of the Uttappam
- Flip once and let the other side cook well
Serve hot with green chutney , tomato ketchup or pickels. |
