Shrimp Masala
Ingredients
- Shrimp 1 lb
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
- Chili powder 1 tsp
- Chopped Onions 2 med size
- Chopped Tomato 1
- Chopped Ginger 1/2 inch
- Chopped Garlic 2 cloves
- Chopped Green chilies 2
- Grated Fresh coconut 1/2 cup
- Coriander
- Kokam 3-4 pieces
- Salt
Method
- Clean the shrimp and apply salt, a pinch of turmeric and chili powder.
- Take 4 tbsp oil in a pan. When hot, add the onions, ginger, garlic
and green chilies - saute the mix.
- Add tomatoes and saute well.
- Add the shrimp and fry till the shrimp is cooked.
- Grind coconut with a little water and add to shrimp. Cook with lid
closed.
- When curry is well- cooked, add kokam and garnish with coriander
leaves.
Serve hot with plain rice or chapatis. |
