Built by Tibetan refugees in the late 1960s, the gompa has some
brightly coloured frescoes and a mid-size Buddhist statue. On the
outside wall there is a least of Tibetan Martyrs killed during the
Chinese occupation from 1987 to 1989. The gompa, open from 6 am
to 7 pm, dominates the 'Tibetan area' around the bottom of The Mall.
